Jared & Kaitlin | Wedding Invitations

Happy Friday, friends! I hope everyone had a great week! On Wednesday, I was down in Richmond having a girls day with my mom and sister and to my surprise started getting texts from a few friends that Kaitlin's wedding was up on the blog of Stephanie Messick Photography. Ahh! I was so excited I had to go sit down and look through. Stephanie did such a FABULOUS job. All of the photos are absolutely GORGEOUS so I'm including a few of my favorites here mixed in with their invitations.

While it's obviously not shown in the photos (and in honor of full disclosure here), we did hit a bit of a snag with the envelopes: the gorgeous paper was just too thick to print in my studio. So we had to hustle a bit to get them done elsewhere, but it all ended up okay, and I'm so pleased with how they turned out. Running a small business, especially with paper goods is always a learning experience. I feel like with every invitation suite I learn something new or find a better way to do it next time. As tricky as it can be sometimes, I don't mind it because I feel like I'm constantly being challenged and there's honestly never a dull moment.

Other than changing the envelope approach last second, this invitation suite came together magnificently. They were simple, but had great accents of elegance which I loved! Kaitlin chose great color combinations with the gold, grey and mint. And I love how she added gold in with small touches to really add a charming touch. The gold monogram accent at the top of the invitation was probably my favorite part. And Stephanie did an amazing job capturing that in her images below.
