Taking a minute to be thankful

Before we get too far into the holidays, especially Thanksgiving, I just wanted to take a second to be thankful and say thank you! Thanksgiving, and even the holidays in general, is a time to reflect on our lives: what we're thankful for, where we've been, what we've accomplished, our futures...And today, there is so much to be thankful for. So here's a little from my list this year.

I'm thankful for my support system.

Running a business and even in life, it truly takes a village. Rarely is there just one sole person behind something that doesn't get help along the way. I am so thankful for all of my friends and family who have pitched in to help me, supported me in different ways, and have been there for me while Joe's been gone. Every action, phone call, hug, scary movie, and shoulder to cry on has meant so much to me.

I'm thankful for my FOLLOWERS, clients & customers.

Without them, I would in no way shape or form be where I am today. You guys are not only supportive but share you're love for this cool town with me, support my dreams, help me give the little Grohly Poly treats, and make this crazy journey of running a business feel worth it. You guys seriously rock. I couldn't do any of this without you!

I'M THANKFUL FOR FREDERICKSBURG.

This one shouldn't be all that surprising! I love this incredible city so much. That I get to share my love for this great place that I live in through my designs and paintings, is seriously a dream come true. While most of my heart is snowboarding down a mountain somewhere in the world (today it's Finland), a good chunk of it lives here with this beautiful place that I get to call home. And what better way to tribute this wonderful home than to share it with others In my skyline.

I'M THANKFUL FOR MY FIANCE.

I mean, how could I write a thankful list and not include him! As hard as it is to not have him around on a regular basis right now, he still manages to support me and be there for me every step of the way. Not to mention the fact that he is following his dreams out there on the slopes, he inspires me to keep going even when times get tough and keep going after those dreams.  I'm so thankful to have him not just in my life, but as my best friend. And I can't believe I get to marry him next year!!!

I'm Thankful for Grohl.

Yea, yea. You knew it was coming! Grohl has been my 'mane' man while Joe's been gone. Is it weird to say that he just...understands? He knows when I'm sad or if I'm really missing Joe and he stays close to me and snuggles. He protects me and always keeps me company, so I never feel alone.

Well, that's my top 5 list for today. What are you thankful for??

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
