Welcome!

Good Morning! It's Monday. It's been almost a full week since I attended the Creative at Heart Conference, and a week of my life being changed. I couldn't believe how many people recognized Joey's story! It was really cool and brings such great awareness to the amputee & prosthetic community. Especially in a positive light. In case you've been following and were wondering, Joe's surgery went very well on Friday (although it took twice as long as it was supposed to. Talk about stressful!). They were able to remove two neuromas (little balls of scar tissue and nerve endings and can cause a lot of pain) and the screw from his bones. One of the neuromas was the size of a walnut! He had his follow-up appointment today, and other than general soreness from surgery, his pain is mostly gone which is AMAZING news. We are hoping and praying that this is going to be a huge turning point for his journey. He is recovering well and is back to being the goof I know and love.

Since the conference, I've had a few more readers and social media followers so I wanted to make today's Last Adventures post a little recap and introduction to myself, Joey and our story.

HI! HELLO! WELCOME! I am SO glad you are here and reading my blog. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I'm Johnna! I'm the owner and designer behind Twila & Co. I am the girlfriend and best friend of an amazing man. I am a total goofball. I am a creative.

I love working with other creatives and people who are passionate about what they do. I love sweet tea and french fries, the beach, and music.

I live, work and play in Downtown Fredericksburg (Virginia) and absolutely love it. It's my hometown.

I am so grateful and excited that you are here today!

This is Joe. He's my other half. He's a total goofball just like me. He is the love of my life. He is the strongest person I know. He perseveres through it all.

And this is his story...

(this does a much better job at explaining it than I ever could).
