Bridal Shower

So I apologize in advance for the length of this post because I have so many photos to share, I just can't cut them out! Anyways, as you know, I hosted a bridal shower this past weekend at my parent's home (Thanks, Mom!) and it was a HUGE success! Everyone had such a lovely time and I was completely honored make the bride, my best friend Courtney, happy. That's what it's all about! I'm so lucky that I had a great team to help, Kathy (Courtney's future mother-in-law) and Tammy (Courtney's mom) but especially to my mom and sister, Jeri, who just went above and beyond to help me.

They actually did SUCH a good job, that while sneaking food in the kitchen, we actually discussed the possibility of running our own event planning and catering business. If you've ever been to my house, you know that my mom is a FANTASTIC cook. She was sweet enough to put together an outstanding menu for this little shindig. My sister is a lot like me in that we love to plan, craft and execute our ideas. (Side note and plugin: ever need a party planned? Let us know! Seriously!)

Back to the shower. To show you just how great it all went, just take a look for yourself on my montage of pictures!

The food table set up. Yes, that is a giant 'LOVE' statue in the background.

The cake table! And please just ignore the fact that Courtney and I are chatting in the background as I take the photo.

And...the most IMPORTANT part, the food! As I said before, my mom put together a SPECTACULAR menu. We had (from left to right):

Boursin Cheese Stuffed Pappadews

Mashed Potato Bar

Blanched Veggies in a Red Bell Pepper Dip

Shrimp in a Blanket with Peanut Sauce

Not Pictured

Sweet Thai Chili Shrimp

And the bar! Courtney requested a 'Blue Hawaiian' as the signature drink which turned out amazing. It went quickly!

Here is my beautiful, beaming best friend and bride to be! Can you believe the amount of gifts?! It's so crazy!

She made out like a bandit.

And here are all my little touches of the blue and red Hawaiian theme. I created all of the tags to match the invitation,  I hand drew some tags to go with the mashed potato bar toppings, my do-it-yourself marshmallows are in the back, and then the matching utensils and paper products.

And lastly, the bride and myself. She is the best friend a girl could ask for and has always been there! I wouldn't be here without her!

The shower got me really excited for all of the weddings and showers and bachelorette parties I have coming up. Mostly, I am just excited to see all of my friends and to see them happy and excited to celebrate such a joyous occasion.

What do you like better: Christmas or Wedding Season? WEDDING SEASON.
