Bridal Shower Invitation | Anna

OH MY GOSH, I'M BACK! Ay yi yi. This past month has been crazy.  Luckily, most of it got done. But in the future, I will not be pulling that again. Wedding season is CRAZY. 

Things are finally settling down and I'm finally getting back into things like posting on Instagram, being active on Facebook, and of course, blogging! Most of this is in thanks to my amazing new intern who I cannot wait to introduce to you, but for today, I have a fun story and some invitations to share with you!

When I was little, my mom had this friend who also had a girl, Anna, my age and we used to play together all the time until she moved away (or in my childhood mind was just gone). I remembered going over to her house, where she lived, having lunch at Red Lobster...the most random of things. Other than a few old photos, it mostly just became a distant memory that had a few old photos attached to it.

Fast forward to my 20s. I move into a random house in Arlington with 2 roommates. We had a few neighbors that we started to meet. One of the girls next door looked kind of familiar, but I brushed it off. Until I went home a few weeks later. And for some reason I just had to look at some old photos, and happened to find some photos of the girl I used to play with. 

Looking at the back of the photo, I saw the name, 'Anna,' and at first thought it was just a coincidence and that there was no way. But sure enough, it was the same girl! How crazy!

My mom and her dad used to work at the hospital together and so we used to have play dates together until her dad was transferred and they lost touch for 20 some years, until we happened to move in next to each other. It's so crazy how small the world is!

Anna is the cutie with the brown hair, bangs and rocking the scrunchy on the left, and I'm the one with the weird expressions and curly blonde hair. I was a character even as a child.

Well, last year, Anna got engaged (Congratulations!), and this past weekend was her bridal shower, and I had the honor of designing her nautical themed bridal shower invitations. And I just LOVE how they turned out! 

Congratulations, Anna! I'm so glad we reconnected after all those years. And congratulations to you and Mike! I hope you're day is perfect!
