Eating Out in Fredericksburg Gluten Free Style

It's no secret that I'm Gluten-Free. Because I have Celiac's Disease, being gluten free isn't a choice for me, it's a lifestyle. Yet, I still LOVE to eat. When you first find out you have a food allergy but you love to eat, it can be a heart breaking realization. It can be overwhelming and daunting and just down right stressful. For years, I ordered sandwiches without bread, asked for rice instead of pasta, took out half of the toppings off of my salads, and couldn't eat the delicious bread that sat in the middle of the table while I was starving waiting for my meal.
But now, that's all changed!
Downtown Fredericksburg has made it possible for me to go out to eat and order food like a NORMAL person. And I'm not just talking the kitchen knows what gluten free is or can adjust my order to be gluten free or just order a salad. I'm talking I can have gluten free pasta and cupcakes and pizza and ravioli and anything else my little carb-loving heart desires.
After talking with a local photographer last week, I realized that some people, especially ones perhaps new to the gluten free thing, don't know about what great options Downtown has to offer, so I wanted to share the good news.
So here are some of my favorite gluten free friendly restaurants in Downtown Fredericksburg and I have 2 categories:
