Well, the holiday season is pretty much here. Especially if you're in retail. I know I've already got all of my Christmas Cards, Wine Labels, and Gift Boxes in my online shops ready go to. And I can't lie, I've been watching Hallmark Movies and listening to Christmas Music non-stop. I'm so ready for the holiday season!
With the holidays, that means parties, events and lots of fun things to do! And it also means time for SHOPPING!! Hooray! I'm probably the only one who enjoys shopping and finding that perfect present for someone, but I do. I love it!
Especially supporting small businesses. I AM a small business, so I understand that every little bit of support to other small businesses COUNTS. A lot. So this year, I really encourage you to get out there and support your local businesses.
This year, we've had the pleasure of working with Fredericksburg Mainstreet on graphics for the upcoming Small Business Saturday on November 26. Our challenge was to use the American Express Branding with our new Mainstreet Branding (which is AWESOME!) to create some banners for around the downtown area to promote Shopping Small.
I had so much fun working with Ann of the Mainstreet Initiative and April of River Rock Outfitters on this project. And I'm even more excited to see the flyers around town.
So get out there and Shop Small this holiday season. Whether it be walking around downtown Fredericksburg (or you're own small business area!), ordering handmade goods off of Etsy, or perusing small business websites, support those businesses whose heart and souls go into every little detail.
