Procrastination
There are many, many times where I feel like I'm procrastinating. I clean. I rearrange my office. I work on a different project then the one I'm supposed to. I make coffee. As a small business owner, I will start on one thing and end up starting 20 other things before actually finishing the first thing I started. A friend of mine likes to call these 'Rabbit Holes' as they are never ending and you end up digging more and more tunnels as you go, although I often end up feel like I am procrastinating getting my work done. While this comes true of many, many aspects of my life, it particularly rings true with putting the fall issue of Twila together this week. I've been slowly working on it, trying to find my stride in laying out all the amazing pictures. Last night I finally stepped away from my computer and through myself into magazines for some much needed inspiration. It kept stressing me out, as I kept feeling like I wasn't moving quick enough or wasn't getting it done on time (and I still kind of feel that way) but then I found this quote on my favorite blog this morning:
"We think we procrastinate but the cosmos unfolds with immaculate timing. We are always exactly on time."
