I had a whole blog lined up for today to update you about all things Colorado (hiking, wildlife, altitude, etc.), but yesterday afternoon we got some REALLY exciting news that deserves to be celebrated.
With an announcement from US Paralympic Snowboarding Team yesterday,
These past few months have been just crazy. Between moving and figuring out my next move with the business, there’s been a lot going through my head and I’ve been making a lot of decisions.
Lately, I’ve been a lot of the same questions over and over again (mostly, because I haven’t been talking about any of them on Social Media at all), so I thought now would be a good time for a little life update around here.
Back in December, I got an email from Meg Flores of Happy To Be Events about an urgent wedding request due to a family emergency. I was in Colorado at the time, but after hearing their story, I immediately knew I had to hep however I could.
Last weekend, I took a little bit of time for myself; got off my phone and computer and crafted. I can’t tell you the last time I crafted without a…purpose, I guess you would say? I mean I do a lot of crafts for others, and did stuff for my wedding, but this was the first time…
Definitely one of my favorite lines from a Christmas movie. And if you know me, you know I LOVE Christmas, like REALLY love Christmas, so when I was asked to participate in an ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ inspired styled shoot, we all knew my answer!
So remember Hurricane Florence? And how it came to Virginia like a crazy, and made weddings all over the state and east coast just awful with it’s wrath?! Well, you wouldn’t even be able to tell with these incredible photos.
Well, I have a little more to show you from the wedding…aka, OUR WEDDING VIDEO IS HERE!
And oh my gosh, it’s incredible. Nic, Amanda and the rest of the NuGen Media team did a phenomenal job.
My obsession with scary movies and haunted things came when I was little. Starting with reading Goosebumps books and watching the VHS’s with my brother growing up, to spending summers picking out old school horror films at the video store to watch with my siblings,
Wow, what a whirlwind the past month or so has been. Everything has been moving so far, that it’s taken me a while just to wrap my head around everything.
So today’s blog is just going to focus on the wedding!
You've probably seen the Instagram stories and maybe wondered what's going on. We've been working on a lot of stuff behind the scenes around here between the wedding and business stuff, but what I'm sure you're all wondering about is...
Ya'll, this love story is one for the books, let me tell you.
Let's start back at the beginning.
I bet you're totally surprised that I had my Bachelorette party in Fredericksburg, right?!
Honestly, I just couldn't think of a better place to have it.
Well, I won't lie: one of my favorite things about myself is my hair. Definitely not every day, there are plenty of days where it's up in a top bun because it just can't seem to handle itself, but I truly do love it.
Mr. Grohl is on today's blog! I continually see a lot of people whose pups are having a hard time with their food and allergies. And we've been through a lot food wise with this little guy. When we first got him, he had allergies and itched all the time, and unfortunately, it didn't stop there due to what I was feeding him. So today's blog I'm talking about what we did to figure out what he was allergic to, and how we battled further stomach problems.
Two weeks ago I took a {much needed} break to visit my work wife, Caitlin of Third Clover, and attend a Floral Crown Workshop in Maryland. It was so nice to get out of town a little bit and do something different yet still creative.
Happy Wedding Wednesday here on the blog! I am SO excited to share this gorgeous Virginia Beach Wedding with Lindsey and Chris and photos by Audrey Rose Photography because they are STUNNING.
Now that I’ve gotten two wine and design classes under my belt (and I didn’t totally suck at it!) I’m excited to share photos from the classes and announce that we have more classes coming!
So, little known fact about me, but I used to be legally blind.
While I had glasses most of my life, eight and a half years ago things took a drastic turn.
Ever since I first tried Amanda’s from Sorby Sweet's gluten free cake, I was hooked. I mean, seriously. It’s the best. I’ve tried to make cakes similar, but nothing is as good as hers…and that says a lot for gluten-free.
Joe is supposed to be competing today in his last Banked Slalom before the Paralympics. Unfortunately, he's not. But let's back up a little bit.

Now that the new website is up, I can finally get some blogs going again!
I won’t lie though, it was kind of nice taking a few months off from blogging and somewhat on social media. It was just the refresher I needed.
And I can’t believe it’s been almost two months
