Make Her a Dress
I recently stumbled across an old high school friend (yay cross country!) on Instagram...and then Facebook...and then her blog. She is living in New York as a wedding gown and lingerie designer, and oh my goodness, let me tell you: her designs are INCREDIBLE. She is SO talented. As a lover of all things lacy, classic, and girly, I fell in love with her brand and designs instantly.
Katherine Elizabeth Bridal is a NYC based business, where Katherine makes custom dresses and lingerie for weddings and honeymoons. While Katherine used to live in Virginia, she moved to France after high school, studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and is currently studying for her BFA in Intimate Apparel Design. Her creativity and design palpable from the second you visit her website.
Ah, I am in love.
Katherine Elizabeth Bridal is running a contest to find special bride to make a FREE wedding dress! That's right...I said FREE. They are hoping to find someone who needs a lovely dress for their special day…Maybe they can’t afford it, maybe there’s other circumstances standing in their way of getting the dress of their dreams, whatever it is, get ready to send their story!
The wedding must be occurring in 2015.
The winner will receive a custom dress, designed and made for this bride, plus the first $200 toward fabric (fabric for a wedding dress can run anywhere from here to the thousands depending on the types of laces, silks, etc. that the bride is looking for. So they’ll cover the base amount, and any “upgrades” will be up to her.
Email contest@katherineelizabethbridal.com with the following info:
- Your name
- Brides’ name
- Bride’s photo
- Bride’s email
- Share some of her story with us.
Katherine will send you a confirmation email that you have been entered, and she’ll also send one to the bride, unless you ask us not to tell her. At the end of the month, she's going to read all the stories and pick one!
That’s how the Bride can win, but what about You?! The #makeheradress contest includes 2 other special giveaways: a gift for the lovely friend who makes the winning bride submission, because where would we be as brides without our amazing friends?! AND, a drawing at the end of the month with a special gift for one of you who helps support us and promote this exciting opportunity.
